Kate had it all, size, substance, elegance and was a wonderful person to live with. What can only be described as a phenominal puppy career Kate finished 2002 with her Junior Warrant at 10 months, a RCC awarded at 11 months and TOP PUPPY IN BREED 2002. She commenced the 2003 campaign in great style! At Manchester Championship Show she won her Junior Bitch class, Best Bitch, and we were delighted when judge Doug Kitchener handed her the Best of Breed, from the AVNSC category. Her first entry into the Group resulted in Andrew Brace awarding her Working Group 3 at only 13 months of age. The Petplan Junior Stakes were also judged by Doug Kitchener and he had no hesitation again in awarding Kate first from 27 Juniors competing. A visit on the third day saw Kate competing against the previous two days winners, the well known Weimaraner and popular Frenchie. Mr. Kitchener moved them and selected Kate as his overall winner and becoming the first contender for the grand final in October. Taking Best In Show the following week at the East of England GDC Open Show Kate went to CRUFTS and duly won her Special Junior Class. Kate amassed a total of seven Junior Class wins at Championship Shows along with a CC and BOB and 2 RCCs! Having moved up into Limit we were delighted that Kate won her 2nd CC and BOB at South Wales, won two Special Yearling classes in the interim period, before claiming her third and qualifying CC at the Scottish Kennel Club. The dream comes true... Champion Selmalda Me And My Shadow J.W.! In the whelping box she produced two litters, both by our own Ch. Selmalda Romeo JW, with Ch. Selmalda Has To Be Of Marridane JW, Stay Free For Teesedane (1 CC) and our own Echo in the first (only four in the litter) and latterly our own Selmalda Rock Ola Baby JW (2 CC, 3 RCC) and I Am Rock JW (7 RCC) who were the only two! A truly wonderful companion throughout her life she really did excell in everything we asked of her.
