At Richmond on September 8th we had breed specialist Pat Burgess judging the breed. Again Ares, Selmalda Has To Be Of Marridane, topped Junior Dog and his Father, Ch. Selmalda Romeo J.W., took the top spot in Open Dog. It was good to get Romeo out again following his lay off through injury. In the bitches our own Selmalda C'mon Girl took first place in Junior and, in the challenge, was awarded the R.C.C. - go Echo! |
Lyn Donnelly was the judge for the East of England's Great Dane Club Championship Show on September 16th and she gave first in Open Dog to our own Ch. Selmalda Romeo J.W., his second such win in two weeks! |
The long trek to Belfast on September 30th under Bob Gregory paid dividends as John Agnew took first in Limit Bitch with Selmalda She's A Rainbow. Mia, owned in partnership with ourselves and John, has now qualified for her Kennel Club Stud Book Number.

Bang! At Dane Of The Year on October 20th Selmalda Has To Be Of Marridane took first in a tough Junior Dog class under Steve Wareing and thus qualified him for his Junior Warrant. Well done to Nigel and Dawn, not forgetting Ares, on this achievement as both his parents, and also sister Echo, have now achieved this prestigious accolade. |
The bitches had a good day at the Northern Great Dane Club's Open Show on October 28th. Yvonne McGlynn was the judge and she awarded first place in Junior to the Dyson's Selmalda She Looks To Me Through Samdice and first in Limit to our own Selmalda C'mon Girl. Echo took Reserve Best Bitch in the challenge. |
Respected breed specialist Sue Searle judged the breed at the Working & Pastoral Breeds Association of Scotland. Sue awarded Echo, Selmalda C'mon Girl, first in Special Yearling and the R.C.C., her second, in the final challenge. Thanks Sue! |
| The Selmalda Team do it again! At the South Western Great Dane Club's annual Top 12 event we were justifiably proud that we had four Danes qualified for the Premier League. Selmalda Has To Be Of Marridane was awarded first place in the Dog category by respected judge Tan Nagrecha. Tan also recognised the quality on the bitches and gave second place to the Dyson's Selmalda She Looks To Me Through Samdice and third place to our own Selmalda C'mon Girl. Ares then challenged the bitch winner and was duly crowned Premier League Overall Winner 2007 and we congratulate all owners on their achievements on the evening and for the previous year! We celebrated in style and the champagne flowed all evening. Fantastic! |

| At The Great Dane Club's Open show on November 17th the Dyson's bitch, Selmalda She Looks To Me Through Samdice had yet another fantastic day. Lola won a well represented Junior Bitch under Christine Cunningham in the main show and won her equivalent class in the Stakes under Keith Nathan. Keith then found her of sufficient merit to award her Best In Stakes. Well done Lola. Well done to the Days with their homebred Champion Janriche Irish Eyes J.W. who went Best In Show. Emma, of course, is sired by the late S. Chasing Rainbows.

| At the Great Dane Club of South Wales Championship Show on November 24th Angela Challenger judge the males and awarded our own Ch. Selmalda Romeo J.W. the R.C.C. from Open Dog. Selmalda Has To Be Of Marridane had stepped up to Limit and he wasn't phased with the older competition to win his Limit class. Equally Romeo's son, Samdice Dream On, went Best Puppy In Show. Not to be outdone his sister Samdice Making Dreams won her Junior class under Laurence Morgan-Evans. We are justifiably proud of Romeo's offspring!

|
| The final Championship Show of the year on December 8th saw Romeo's daughter Making Dreams again topped her Junior class whilst Selmalda She Looks To Me Through Samdice J.W. won her Special Yearling class. The Midland & West always receives a fantastic entry and we were naturally delighted when judge Jeanette Park awarded She Looks To Me her first R.C.C. - what a great year she has had!
