"Ralph"(Ch Great Granadas Washington Yacanto x Selmalda Fame, D.O.B. 16/04/96)
Bred and owned by Lesley and Adam and
born April 16th 1996 "Ralph" is pictured above at seven months of age having already won three Best Puppy
in Breed awards at his first three championship shows. We knew that in "Ralph" we had a very
exciting show career ahead of us. He gained his first C.C. and BEST OF BREED from breed specialist
Diana Bousfield at only fourteen months of age quickly followed by his second C.C. at the very next
show from Bonnie Moen (Breed, Norway). This resulted in him gaining the position of Overall Winner
of the Premier League on points 1997 before gaining his third C.C. and crown from David Cottrell
(Breed) at only twenty two months of age. To date "Ralph" has won a total of twelve C.C.'s (becoming
the Top Winner from Selmalda!) the others coming from Steve Hall, Mike Stockman, Marion Spavin,
Sigurd Wilberg (All rounders) and Nigel Marriner, Roy Tripconey, Betty Baxter, Peter van Montfort and Ole
Staunskjaer (CRUFTS) (Breed) and eight R.C.C.'s from
Nancy Carroll-Draper (U.S.A.), Mannfred Wallner (Germany), Jean Lanning, Christine Kemp, Rhoda
Mchaffey (Breed), Barrie Croft, Ellis Hulme and Gerald Mitchell (All rounders).
Ralph's temperament is second to none! Each year he is invited to attend the Great Dane booth at The Kennel Club's Discover
Dogs run in conjunction with Crufts Dog Show. This year he made friends with many different people and excelled himself with
his exemplary character. This was the fourth year Ralph has attended winning over the hearts of the public and making so
many friends en route. We love you Ralph and are so proud of you!
