The National Championship Show

Lesley, Jacqui & I are absolutely delighted with Rugers development and progress and were super chuffed when he was awarded his 2nd RCC at The National last week. Here is judge Ann Ingrams critique; Yearling Dog - 1st Chappell & Williams Selmalda The Journey J.W., impressive masculine dog with the most wonderful bone and feet, combining substance and elegance. Well balanced head with lovely expression, long crested neck running into well laid shoulders, good depth of brisket, correct topline and tailset, strong hindquarters, very sound on the move keeping his nice topline, well handled to make the most of himself, it was a pleasure to award him the RCC.

Boston & DCS Championship Show - Ryder

Here is Ryder on the move competing for BIS at Boston & DCS.

Boston & DCS - GROUP 1

We are home from Boston & DCS where Ch. Selmalda Koochie Ryder J.W. was representing the Working Group following his success Thursday. As always he put in a top performance and we are justifiably proud despite not progressing further. Thanks to judge Jeff Luscott for his complimentary comments about him, Pam Blay for the breed and Christina Chapman for his Group 1. Our sincere appreciation to all for the messages, the posts and well wishes as well as those who came to cheer him on today - thank you.

Our Dogs Top Puppy In Breed

We are delighted to learn that S. ZiZis Journey JW has concluded 2015 as the breeds Top Puppy In Breed. A short puppy career, due to her birth date, saw her amass 5 BPIB/S and 1CC counting towards her Top Puppy accolade. Despite finishing her Puppy career towards the end of June she was unable to be caught up. Great result as her Dam, Ola, and Grandparents Romeo and Kate were all Top Puppy In Breed winners.

Our Dogs and Dog World Annual Adverts

Here is our advert as featured in both the Our Dogs and Dog World Annuals for 2015. Our thanks to Lisa Croft-Elliot for her sterling work not only in capturing the images but also bringing it all together in this masterpiece.

Junior Warrant Achieved

Ruger has achieved his JUNIOR WARRANT. Selmalda The Journey JW. Well done Jacqui and Ruger.

GDC Of Wales Championship Show

Over to Chepstow where Toni Pearce judged the males. He awarded 1st in Junior to Jacqui with Ruger and 2nd to Candice with Hammi. Hammi also won yearling. Ryder was 4th in Open. Mandy Thomson judged the bitches and awarded 1st in Junior to ZiZi and 2nd to sister Essi. Thanks to the person who spooked Essi in her yearling class and then would not settle, she was 5th. It was a wet, rainy day in Wales.

SWGDC Top 12 Competition

As breeders we were justifiably proud of the points accumulated over the past 12 months and the results of the evening. The Journey, coowned and campaigned with Jacqui, was Premier League Top Points Male who had qualified with his brother Journey To The Line who was second place points for co-owner Candice, John and Heather Dyson. Journey To Melody At Samdice achieved the highest points for owners John, Heather and Candice and was chosen as second place on the evening behind her sister ZiZis Journey JW who only went and topped the Premier League Bitch and then went OVERALL winner. In the Super League Koochie Ryder qualified in the males and Love Rescue Me claimed second spot in the bitch league. So with Im Yours JW WJW10 claiming top Fawn we couldnt have been prouder to be awarded with the Top Breeder award later that evening. Thank you to all the judges who made this evening possible and Gavin Robertson who officiated on the night.

Lesley and I are delighted to have qualified litter sisters for the Eukanuba Dog World Pup of the Year finals. Selmalda ZiZis Journey JW qualified at WELKS beating nearly 300 puppies from judge Dagmar Pordham and Selmalda Journey To Melody At Samdice, for owners John, Heather & Candice, qualified at The National under Stella Clark, again beating nearly 300 puppies. Today at the Final, with Jean Lanning judging, the two girls put in a sterling performance and from 22 finalists ZiZi made the first cut to the final 12. What an amazing day, amongst the elite of the countries puppies, we are so, so proud and thank everyone for their kind comments and support.
